The Brewtet Quartet originated as an idea formed by two Otterbein University Jazz Alumni. Saxophonist, Korey Black, and Bassist, Paul Baker, wanted to form an informal and relaxed jam session in between the cities of Worthington and Westerville.
It has since grown to encompass many musicians, friends, and of course, beer. The group has been regularly performing since 2017. Key performances guest performances include CJO Musicians: Jay Miglia, Pete Mills, and Michael Cox.

Korey Black is a Columbus based saxophonist and music educator. He is an active performer heavily involved in the local music scene and has appeared on a variety of albums and singles. Korey is a founding member of The Brewtet Quartet.

Paul Baker is a Columbus based Bassist, Composer, and music educator. Paul has written two wonderful albums (Blue Lights Late Nights - 2018, and Philosophy After Dark - 2019) and currently performs with multiple ensembles including his own trio. Paul is a founding member of The Brewtet Quartet.

Will Ash is a Columbus based percussionist, composer, and music educator. Will is heavily involved in the Columbus music scene. He currently performs in multiple ensembles and has recently been on tour with Angela Perley and The Howlin' Moons. Will is the current drummer of The Brewtet Quartet.

Dean Marcelanna is a Columbus based keyboardist, composer, and martial arts extraordinaire. Dean is constantly working on music projects ranging from classical piano recitals to Broadway pit orchestras. He is the founding member of the popular Latin Jazz/Fusion group Clave Sonic. Dean is the current keyboardist of The Brewtet Quartet.
